The Ferrari F-50 was a limited edition model built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ferrari production, (1945-1995). There were only 52 North American versions of the supercar built with 50 shipped to the US and 2 to Canada. The cars were extremely hard to secure with most going to celebrities, dignitaries, sports figures, captains of industry and well-heeled collectors. The final purchase price, with taxes, was about $615,000. The monocoque construction was almost completely carbon fibre with the 60 valve, V12, 1993 F1 derived, naturally aspirated engine pumping out 512 bhp. Top speed is listed as 202 MPH. The car featured here was built in December 1995 and delivered in March 1996. The car has continued to appreciate in value since it was initially built.
